As one of the foremost LGBTI-refugee organisations, LGBT Asylum Support has garnered  a reputation of credibility and integrity. On an honorary basis, LGBT Asylum Support’s professional activities are as follows:

Reports

Based on provided source material, critical reports are drawn up to buttress asylum applications of turned down clients in court.

Advocacy

In order to create public support on behalf of LGBTI-refugees, LGBT Asylum Support advocates through press statements, urgent letters, petitions and publication and reports all issues, related to the asylum procedures.

Emergencies

Through contact with over 600 clients, LGBT Asylum Support aims to alleviate acute emergencies and mediate between involved parties.

On account of the professional activities, LGBT Asylum Support has established a network comprised of the IND, COA, The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) the Federation of Dutch Associations for the Integration of Homosexuality (COC; various COC Cocktail Projects), the Dutch Council for Refugees, Transgender Netwerk Nederland, Roze in Blauw (Pink in Blue), the HIV-vereniging, various political parties and asylum lawyers.
